Claire Hitchfield

Claire is a trained Astanga yoga and Pilates teacher. Yoga has been a part of Claire's life for 18 years. Pilates is a more recent passion for Claire.

Sessions are infused with her irrepressible humour and keen eye for differing individual needs. Claire follows each student's progress intently.

Melding her diverse yoga and fitness background with her Pilates training has enhanced Claire's repertoire of solutions to address clients' specific needs, and design interesting individual or group sessions.

Claire maintains a current understanding of what is safe for her students and the latest theory on correcting or managing postural or structural issues, or pre-existing physiological conditions.

Personal experience has provided Claire with a happy conviction that yoga and Pilates offer a rejuvenating, invigorating means to get fitter, tone and improve functional movement, nurturing and integrating mind, body, and soul.

Simone de Cunha

Simone discovered Pilates whilst studying to be a Personal Trainer, and found the method to be extremely functional and beneficial to both herself and eventually her clients. She went on to study with Stott Pilates in 2002 and in 2005 with Polestar Pilates Education. She has taught both matwork classes and private sessions in both Sydney and Auckland.

Simone has a passion for the benefits of Pilates, loves yoga, and understands even more, after welcoming her daughter into the world, the importance of core control and functional strength. Simone strives to make her classes varied, challenging, effective and fun. Simone is also a qualified journalist and communications specialist.

Tasha Bermingham

Tasha has recently returned to New Zealand after living in London for 5 years. Tasha discovered the Pilates technique while training at the New Zealand School of Dance in 2001. She continued to practice Pilates while completing a BA in English and travelling abroad.

Soon after moving to London she graduated as a Pilates Foundation UK Studio and Matwork teacher. Tasha worked at various studios around London, including Laban Pilates Studio, The Third Space Pilates Studio and Trevor Blount Pilates Studio.

Pilates, Tasha believes, helps us realise the importance of body–mind integration and to find the balance between strength, flexibility and energy flow. Tasha focuses on mobility versus stability and economy of movement to re–pattern the body's postural and alignment habits. Tasha enjoys working with people of all ages and abilities. She is trained in injury rehabilitation, ante– and post–natal, post– and pre–op, dance and fitness training.

Tasha is available for One–on–One sessions and is happy to discuss your specific needs. Call her on (021) 142 7356 to arrange your session.
