Class Description
Astanga
Flow-style cardio / strength / stamina / flexibility-building. Recommended for people who enjoy using your bodies and being fit. This can be a fast-paced class and it is strongly advised that the Astanga Intro Course be attended first, or before attending too many of these classes. The lunch-time classes are 1 hour, evening or before work classes are one-and-a-half hours.
Astanga (11/2 hr)
Depending on demand these classes will either be run as one-and-a-half hour talk-through classes or Mysore-style.
Astanga (Mysore-style)
The next level up. Students may arrive anytime within the first hour, beginning the practice on arrival. Knowledge of the sequence is necessary before attending.
Bodyboost
Taught according to Pilates principles, these classes are a fusion of Pilates, Yoga, dance conditioning, and various other body movement techniques (martial arts, Alexander technique, Feldenkrais). You will stabilise and strengthen the core, tone and lengthen your muscles. Recommended for people looking to improve movement habits, supplement your current exercise programme, or break out from your sedentary lifestyle! Attending the Pilates Intro Course initially would definitely improve your overall results.
Pilates Vitalise
Pilates to stimulate, revitalise and challenge or rehab. A great way to wind up your day, begin your evening refreshed, pleasantly worked, let go of upper body tension and rejuvenate your core. Recommended for people looking to truly gain a Pilates edge. Attending the Pilates Intro Course initially could be useful to improve your overall results.
*Pilates Express ( Monday thru' Thursday each week) 12.05pm-12.30pm
25 minute Pilates mat classes run in three-week intensives, 4 classes available per week. Attendance is required to at least 3 classes per week to ensure all students are up-to-speed with the exercises and level of intensity of the classes. A free class to provide a basic overview of Pilates principles will be taught on the Thursday before the Pilates Intensive begins - attendance to this is mandatory if you're new to Pilates, or would like a refresher. Questions about Pilates? Find some answers here.

*Pilates for Pregnancy, consecutive Wednesdays 1.40pm - 2.40pm
As the body changes to accommodate the baby, and prepare for the birth through this exciting time of your life. Improve: awareness of head, shoulder and neck alignment to prevent neck tension; breathing and movement control; balance; comfort. Wednesdays at 1.40pm Inquire re next course dates.
*Pilates Intro Course, consecutive Tuesdays 6.30 - 7.30pm
A six-week course introducing the principles of Pilates and establishing correct technique. Pilates is a very specific and controlled form of movement. To gain the maximum benefit this course is recommended for everyone serious about achieving best results.

A six-week course introducing this dynamic style of yoga. Recommended for total beginners. You will learn about the breathing technique (Ujayi), about the core control required (bandhas), and modifications to make for your own individual body differences. Covers the most basic and fundamentally important aspects of yoga. This 8 week course builds a solid foundation for your practice, including:
